Equine Essentials
A Five-Step Process to Successful Horse Ownership

Step 1.  The Horse/Handler Match
Step 1 of our Equine Essentials program is designed to help first-time horse buyers find their best match to fit their needs based on riding skills, handling experience, riding preferences, goals and size.  Horses come in all shapes and sizes with very unique personalities and ranges of athleticism and energy.  We help you identify the best choice of horse for you.

Step 2.  How to "Think Horse"
Understanding your horse can make the first-time equine ownership experience safer and more rewarding.   A horse's survival instincts impact how the handler should interact with his or her horse - making a great relationship possible.

Step 3.  Equine Equipment
A trip to a tack shop may feel like you're learning a whole new language!   Western, English, Gaited or Australian saddle?  Solid, flex, rawhide, wood, quarter horse, semi quarter horse or full quarter horse tree?  Barrel, roping, cutting, reining, ranch, or pleasure  saddle?  Seat size?  Stirrup type?  What kind of bit?  Head stall?  Bridle?  Reins?  And the list goes on....    Step 3, helps those who are new to horses sift through the choices and focus on equipment taht fits horse, rider and riding style.

Step 4.  Team Training
You and your new horse are going to be a team, so now is the time to start training together!  A good horse handler should know techniques and cues to clearly communicate with his horse.  Step 4 is a 'school' for you and  your horse to improve both your confidence and communication.

Step 5.  Into the Sunset!
We want to see you and your new equine friend ride off into the sunset with everything you need to begin a safe and successful relationship.  No need for guess work or trying to figure it out through costly trial and error.  Our "Happy Trails" package will provide you with basic essential equipment and information to help you train and maintain your new Blazer Horse.
